Welcome to Mind, Body & Spirit!
We appreciate speaking with so many GOTCHA COVERED family members (old and
new)! Please continue to call and/or Email us. All of you are very
important to us and we value the thoughts you share as well as your support.
Often times we get calls for or are asked during shows and seminars about
healthy lifestyle tips. We cannot stress enough the importance of drinking
water to help maintain a healthy MB&S. Water is an excellent source for
flushing out toxins and hydrating the skin(enabling a clear and healthy
glow). Over 2/3 of the human body is water. The next time you feel a
headache coming on, try drinking some water--you could be experiencing mild
dehydration. Water helps enable our bodies to effectively regulate
temperature and digestion. Pregnant and nursing mothers should be sure to
have a steady water regiment in their diet.
Some experts say that a minimum of eight 8oz. glasses of water a day should
be a sufficient drinking amount. Other published reports state that one
should drink at least half one's body weight in ounces per day. The human
body uses approximately 64 ounces of water a day. Wisdom dictates that one
should drink enough water to at least replenish that which is used --- and
then some.
If you find it difficult to increase or establish your daily water
consumption and the aforementioned information isn't motivation enough, here
are some considerations. Start your morning with a glass of room
temperature water. Be sure to drink a glass of water at least 45-60 minutes
before and after your meals. For those of you who have a "taste preference",
try a little fresh squeezed lemon juice in your water. Remember, a
constant diet of coffee and sodas with caffeine can cause dehydration;
please be mindful to compensate for such. Increase your consumption of
non-processed/uncooked fruits and vegetables ---- excellent complimentary
sources of water as well.
We hope these suggestions help you maintain a positve and healthy MB&S!!!
